Has anyone else noticed that timeline algorithm on LI appears to have gotten worse lately? The interaction with posts is just... so incredibly low?

Sure, it could be my shit content that I post there, but I'm not used to it being this shit. I usually do get some interaction but now I'm lucky to get any sort of interaction.

Has anyone else made any kind of experiments regarding this? More than my non-scientific feely feeling about it?

@nopatience A lot of my feed on LI is showing me stuff people did 3 weeks ago... really helpful šŸ™„

@Cyberoutsider Yeah... I mean... I don't know, I'm always filtering "for recent", but I still feel that... it's just shit content to be honest.

Changing jobs, someone incredibly grateful for having had the opportunity to Z, some "top voice" gibberish, a few memes with massive number of engagement... and possibly a few shared real experiences about something real.

But I shouldn't complain I guess.. because i do contribute to the noise as well, it's hard not to... trying to keep them interaction numbers up.

Yes yes, I shouldn't care but... it does matter and there are no real alternatives to LI (IMHO).

But I should stop complaining about the algorithm ruling my timeline... it's what I get in the attention economy.

I guess I'm equally angry with myself for having spent so much god damned time on there "building" an audience... doing the same fucking thing again... that i did on Twitter last time.

Never learn apparently.

@nopatience I'm terrible at LinkedIn as I fear people will actually remember stuff that I post on there 🤣

Much happier being a semi-anonymous Lego figurine on Mastodon and doing my shouting into the void on here.

@nopatience Nope I feel the same. And you see a lot of posts from 2w or 3w ago.
@nopatience I try to keep my feed on ā€Most recentā€ instead of ā€Most relevantā€ but I don’t know if it actually makes a difference, my feed seems to have 90/10 noise-to-signal ratio. Mostly companies and brands, not many actual people. It’s just a very very low value app for me right now.
