My facial hair is now quite visible but not thick enough (yet) to look really good so I decided to shave.

It was bliss.

The typical gestures of shaving, the little scrrrtchhh sound of the razor, all these small things that I've seen men doing so often... now I'm doing them!

Happiness doesn't describe the feeling.
It felt perfectly right.
I felt perfectly myself.

And to think that it's something I'll have to do regularly definitely brings me a lot of joy!

@aSweetGentleman yessss

and hopefully you still look like you want to cleanshaven
that hasn't happened to me yet, but it's only been six months

@WizardOfDocs
It took 2+ years to get there but I come from a family of hairless men so I'm actually surprised I already got such results!
Patience is a necessary virtue in transition. Things take time but they happen!

@aSweetGentleman yeah, gotta keep reminding myself how long first puberty took

The silver lining is that this makes it easier to disguise myself for this weekend's family reunion with potentially hostile grandparents

@WizardOfDocs Sorry to hear your family isn't necessarily supportive. I hope you have other people around you to help.
I hope it'll go well this weekend!🤞
@aSweetGentleman This is really excellent, thank you for sharing!! Suddenly I am looking at the possibility of a first shave in a whole new light...
@lenny_wonders I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I did!
@aSweetGentleman 🖤 thank you!! Honestly I hadn't really thought about the act itself as something enjoyable; this is a big reframing for me :) I'm glad it was so delightful for you!!

@aSweetGentleman

What a beautiful post to read. I really treasure the GEMs that trans guys share, because it feels healing to see people wanting the things I didn't want. It tells me I was right in not wanting them - that they're not inherently bad, they're just not for me. They make people happy, who like having them.

@aSweetGentleman So relatable and told in beautiful words!
@aSweetGentleman
I love this for you.

@aSweetGentleman

This is so moving. It made me cry. As someone who has spent a lot of effort not to have these experiences, it gives me such joy to hear how meaningful they are to those who want and need them. I think I may have expressed that badly, sorry.

@iaruffell @aSweetGentleman I think you said it perfectly. I have definitely felt that reciprocal joy watching people embrace things I am feeling equally happy about leaving behind. It's a good reminder of how far we have come

@iaruffell as @kittyboy77 said, you said it perfectly!
I feel the same seeing trans women enjoying their femininity after I tried for so long to hide mine.

It's sounds silly but it's a bit like "I don't like this color but damn it looks great on you!"😆

@aSweetGentleman I love this for you!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰 thank you for sharing your joy!
