Once more, #Luxon is simply bad at his job.
A magnanimous rejection of the privledges committee reccomendation would show leadership, reinforce his supposed rejection of the #treatyPrinciplesBill to pull away from #ACT & possibly deflate some #TePātiMāori's support.
Instead, he sticks with his gormless position of "the rules are the rules" just as he did with his housing entitlement. #nzpol #NactionalFirst

The rules are the rules.
He forgets, or has no understanding, that he is a politician. He can be a major player to change rules, at least consider changing rules, to make better rules, we would hope.
But he fails so obviously.

@BigD rejecting the recommendation is the rules, as was not accepting the entitlement. It seems he just never actually thinks about the rules until someone points out he's blundered

@RupertBBare He may have some direction today to ponder. Although, he may have something else in his diary to keep him occupied outside the debating chamber. Empty seats are just that, empty.
