Don’t update any older iPad to iPadOS 17.7.7, if you’re offered the update.

@Arcticulate Whoa, that's bad.

Thankfully, my 8th-gen iPad went from iPadOS 17.6.x to 18.2.x and now it's on 18.4.1. My other two iPads are too old they no longer can be updated past iOS 5 or iOS 9. But I'll check my wife's iPads just in case!

@morrick Yes, iPad 6th gen, iPadOS 18 is not compatible with the device, so I rely exclusively on iPad 17 security updates. Even Safari is messing with me.

I have two other iPads (which are using iPadOS 15 + iPadOS 18). Those aren’t affected and my iPhone 13 is fine, too. There’s also the OnePlus 9 I can always use as a backup for most things.

Meanwhile, my clean-installed macOS 15 still crashes Safari (or how else to put it). Apple is having a great year 🤷‍♂️
