Ex-FBI agent and Pentagon contractor sues over secret recording showing him criticizing Trump
A former FBI agent and Pentagon contractor has sued the founder of a conservative nonprofit known for its hidden camera stings. The lawsuit in federal court in Washington is over secretly recorded videos that show Jamie Mannina criticizing President Donald Trump while talking with a woman Mannina thought he'd taken on a date. Mannina says he met her on a dating website and she held herself out as a politically liberal nurse, but she was actually working with the conservative activist James O’Keefe in a sting operation. The lawsuit says the operation was designed to induce Mannina into making “inflammatory and damaging” remarks that could be recorded, “manipulated” and posted online. O'Keefe says Mannina “voluntarily” offered up the comments.
