I've always been skeptical of the idea that electolysing hydrogen from water, then pressurising it to make a transportable fuel, then burning that fuel in vehicles or aircraft, could possibly be energy efficient. This episode confirms my skepticism.

@CartyBoston but, unlike copper, it's a really, really inefficient mechanism. As far as I can see, less than 40% efficient in the best case.
