Until we can sort out global warming we have no business considering terraforming Mars.
(This pre-supposes that terraforming other planets is considered desirable, but hey: I just feel like calling out [one aspect of] Elon Musk's bullshit this morning.)

However, in any foreseeable future, the best conditions on Mars will never be as good as the worst conditions on Earth.
