Fantastic news! We've reached 1 million votes! But please keep sharing and voting in case some votes are invalid!

EU citizens, please sign this petition to ban so-called "conversion therapy" in the EU. It's a practice that's extremely harmful towards LGBTQ+ people.

The site is a little slow, but keep trying!

It's already banned in some countries but we need a EU wide ban!

We now have eight countries past their thresholds, and we have at least 1,000,000 total votes.

So keep signing & voting!

@thisismissem Found a problem with the form: the last nlln is not part of the id number. Never been asked for that specific code before, even when negotiating with an isp over the phone. I bet most people get an error when they type their id number and just give up...
@tigerpunk oh? That sounds like an error that should be reported to that website? I don't really know, I'm not an EU citizen yet, so can't vote at all :(
@thisismissem the number requested by the website is the full document number (part is the same as your national civil ID, the other part is exclusive to that document). For example, see my country's (Portugal) Identity Card specimen,
https://asset.skoiy.com/tsfiqogiwkcugyug/mflwhvnbtgvv.png , the website expects us to record the "9 ZZ9" part because the "0077777" is just the (Portuguese) civil ID number.
@tigerpunk
@jt_rebelo @thisismissem @tigerpunk Some senior citizens still have the old Bilhete de Identidade (BI) with lifetime validity, that didn't have the 9ZZ9 part (my father had his until he died in 2020; my mother only got the new version after her purse was stolen), and are unable to sign. I've memorized the civil id but had to get the card to see the rest.
@tigerpunk I understand, although that isn't the problem (nor the main reason) Portugal is so much behind the % needed to validate this initiative. Let's call out everyone that could have voted already and hasn't!
@thisismissem

@jt_rebelo @tigerpunk @thisismissem I have signed without eID by filling out their form. You'll have to provide your address.

Even if Portugal is far behind, it will still count towards the overall numbers needed.

@gunchleoc the OP problem was that the system wanted the full ID card number, something they aren't used to using anywhere. The EU system requires it when not using the eID option.
Yes, we need to pitch in and ask people IRL and online to sign this ASAP.
