Yesterday I recharged the batteries for my old DSLR and turned it on again. Nice to see it's still starting up and photog-ing good.

Today I swapped on the F1.8 50mm fixed focal lens (my favourite lens that I own) and snapped a few test shots, and damn I forgot how nice crisp the shutter sounds. 🥰

It's been 10 years since I last used this camera properly, although I've charged and switched it on a few times since then to make sure it's still in working order.

@nosaj Amazing that it still charges after (more than) ten years! Have you ever replaced the batteries?

I've currently got a 3rd party battery in it which I got when I lost the original charger and bought a battery + charger combo. That wasn't 10 years ago though, more like 5 years or so ago.

I'll have to dig up the accessories bag to see if I still have the original batteries.
