The challenge to their elections was filed >2 months ago. However, the panel’s meeting comes as Hogg faces criticism inside the party over a separate issue: his plans to support #primary challengers to #House #Democrats in his personal capacity.
#DavidHogg’s #primary plan: Will fresh faces save the #DemocraticParty?
Some #Democrats are ignoring a real issue for the party: Most voters want to see fewer elderly lawmakers in Washington.

“The current #DemocraticParty as it stands today has to fundamentally change,” #DavidHogg posted last week. “We cannot begin to address the problem if we don’t start by acknowledging it.”
Not long after being named one of the party’s 5 vice chairs, Hogg announced that his #PAC #LeadersWeDeserve would invest $20M in #primary races for safe blue seats. Hogg hasn’t released the names of the lawmakers he essentially views as not making an impact.
There is some speculation that the young activist is eyeing older lawmakers who have gotten more comfortable in their seats than on the front lines of the fight against #Trumpism.
While #DavidHogg recently told MSNBC’s Jonathan Capehart that he isn’t arguing that lawmakers above a certain age should automatically be pushed out of #Congress, the individuals he did praise for their fight & vision—Reps #MaxwellFrost (FL) & #AOC (NY)—both made history when they were elected in their 20s.
#DavidHogg also made the important point that the idea of younger, fresher faces challenging Democratic incumbents is not a new one.
“Some of the most prolific leaders in our party, whether it’s [Senator] #CoryBooker [D-NJ], whether it’s #AOC, whether it’s [Representative] #RoKhanna [CA] or even [House Minority Leader] #HakeemJeffries [D-NY] … all got there through Democratic primaries of incumbents,” he told Capehart.
Update on the above story:
#DNC Takes Step to Void Election of #DavidHogg & #MalcomKenyatta as Vice Chairs
The credentials cmte of the Democratic National Cmte voted Monday to void the results of the internal party vote that made Hogg a party vice chair, ruling that the election had not followed proper parliamentary procedures.
The decision…will put the issue before the full body of the DNC. It must decide whether to force Hogg & Kenyatta, to run again…later this year.

David Hogg has faced sharp criticism for his plan to fund challenges to incumbent Democrats, but a D.N.C. vote on Monday began with an earlier complaint about the procedures used in an internal party election.
the democratic "gift" for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory and clinging to a provably failed plan continues unabated. sigh...
The DNC wants its incumbents to suffer no consequences at the polls having lost the Presidency, and control of the Senate and the House and having a minority liberal presence on the SCOTUS.
So, the goal is not to find a working solution, it is to secure the incumbents in their sinecures.
Right. Go it. Onward to losing the last of our hope in 2026.
@Nonilex The media is having a blast with this story. But according to everybody (except David Hogg) this isn’t about attacking David Hogg. It’s about a valid challenge to the internal election, brought by a Native American woman who felt like she wasn’t given a fair chance.
Also, Mr. Hogg’s recent comments on Bill Maher that the Democrats should focus on helping young white men “get laid” tells me he might not actually be a progressive.
