Still skeptical about an American being the leader of the biggest religion in the world, but I'll admit that #Pope #LeoXIV is off to a good start. Maybe he'll be the one to perform the exorcism of MAGAt and repair America's place in the world. Funny how foreign Cardinals had to do it for the weak; Americans.
@timboard I am really liking the fact that the new Bishop of Rome is an American from Chicago. He is giving the US the opportunity to show that most Americans still have a lot of class.
@hoofin
Some Americans have some class.
@timboard I would say that most do. The problem is that the bad apples stick out. I think most people do their best to be good people.
@hoofin
I'm just thankful I don't live there anymore. And I doubt I will ever return to America again. No desire to ever step foot in MAGAtland.
@timboard Well, I like to live in Japan--even though it's changing in unusual ways. But I wouldn't paint "home" with a broad brush. If someone gave you a two-week, all expenses paid trip to Hawai'i (any of the populated islands), I would recommend it. It is a big republic of 50 states, that had a Civil War that still is being resolved, and lately bombarded by rampant immigration that tugs at our social fabric. My clients range from "woke" to Trump supporters. A lot is going on in the US.
@timboard I appreciate your sentiments, though. I have no desire to step foot in Philadelphia again, and only go there if I absolutely have to.
