@roadriverrail @stefan @sarahdal Unfortunately, with today's quantising, other than a few, I feel that a lot of DJing has long since become computer derived.. gimme some vinyl and 1210s any day!

This aside, I certainly don't agree with any of this AI training stuff on people's creatives.

@ianh @stefan @sarahdal Please understand that I first tried to teach myself on vinyl over 20 years ago, and failed, and have a lot of respect for those who could train their ears in that world. But I draw a sharp distinction between "computer derived" and an AI DJ. It's the difference between the "centaur" and "reverse centaur" in Cory Doctorow's terms. What separates a vinyl DJ from a digital one is a matter of degree; an AI DJ is different from both by a quantum leap.
