Next on our trip touring the Grand Nation was the Bordeaux wine region. We stayed near Saint-Émilion, at Château Fleur de Roques in Puisseguin.
Truly a gem are the Marqueyssac Gardens. The park offers over 6 km of pathways surrounded by over 150,000 hand-pruned boxwoods, with viewpoints, rockeries and stone cabins. Situated on a rocky spur, the viewpoint offers one of the most impressive panoramic views of the valley and it’s many châteaux.
The Dordogne and Lot regions are famous for their countless medieval fortresses and settlements. One of them is undoubtedly Rocamadour.
