People dying in plane & helicopter crashes is a BAD thing.
But for Musk, #starlink, SpaceX & GrokAI it's a GOOD opportunity to take control of the FAA, cut regulations & make money.

So why aren't the airlines, the pilot's union, & corps like Verizon, publicly trying to stop Musk & #DOGE? Fear of retaliation.

How do we get corps & their lobbyists to publicly stand up to Trump? Show that passenger deaths are BAD for the stock market & airlines' bottom lines.

@spocko @GottaLaff it's certainly gotten me to avoid booking a couple flights so far

@spocko @GottaLaff Having read the article, it seems like a real back-hand to the face, because what it says, forcefully, is that the rest of us don't matter and that life — to say nothing of ethics or morality — doesn't matter. Only money and profit matters.

Normalizing that is not the solution. Or, to invoke Star Trek myself and quote Word from ST: TNG, “We cannot regain honor by acting dishonorably.”

@QuarkMaker thank you for reading the article. I must not have been clear enough in my writing. WE know the importance of human life. To most of us in the world the loss of human life is enough to get us to change our behavior. But for the people who are influencing Trump, it is not enough. They need to have a reason that Trump will listen to. They need to have an additional reason that their institutional investors will listen to. To quote The Godfather "It's not personal, it's just business"
@spocko To be honest, I think we're past the point of having Trump be influenced as a part of our strategy. I think "the rest of us" need to take care that we don't legitimize financial economics as the only legitimate factor for basing decisions, otherwise we risk delegitimizing everything else on a far broader basis.

@spocko @GottaLaff The Supreme Court was mistaken. Corporations are not people. They are cowardly piles of paper wrapped up in lawsuits. They don't exhibit human emotion. They don't feel human pain. They beg power for legal favors none of us are entitled to.

I hope the airlines and all of the cowardly corporations bowing at the feet of a fraud go bankrupt. I wish for them nothing but pain until the day they die. They are inhuman.

@steter Agreed.
The strategy that I'm working is to use the goals of the people working for corporations (make money) and show that NOT KILLING PEOPLE, is good for business.
What is the bizarre balancing act now, is that even though NOT KILLING PEOPLE AND making money are on the same page for them, they are afraid to say it when it goes against what Trump wants.
