Trump says he'll reopen Alcatraz, but doing so would be difficult and costly

President Donald Trump says he's directing his government to reopen and expand Alcatraz, the notorious former prison on a California island that's been closed for more than 60 years. In a social media message Sunday, Trump wrote that, “For too long, America has been plagued by vicious, violent, and repeat Criminal Offenders, the dregs of society, who will never contribute anything other than Misery and Suffering." The Republican president says he's directing the Bureau of Prisons along with the Department of Justice, the FBI and Homeland Security to reopen a substantially enlarged and rebuilt Alcatraz to house "America’s most ruthless and violent Offenders.” Reopening Alcatraz would be difficult and costly.

@ananasparachute goddamnit! He still insists upon talking about judges being radicalized simply because they believe and demand due process for all. We have a king. Is it time to occupy Alcatraz again?
@csgraves Agreed!! Alcatraz has been considered an abode for evil spirits by the #Miwok people for generations. Wouldn't it be nice if they could carry #Felon47 away screaming, like what happened to the bad guy in the movie #ghost ?
