@auridonyarns Are hand made socks better than bought socks?

My problem is that my socks get holes pretty fast (only a few weeks) and I would be sad if I put like weeks or months of work for the socks, which get destroyed pretty fast.

@utopify_org that sounds like a true inconvenience to have holes in your socks all the time. Is there any specific reason why they appear so fast? Generally, hand knit socks are sturdy because they contain a combination of wool and nylon and it’s spun finely. I’ve had several pairs for years without any wear and tear.
