I spent 2 days just sewing small scraps and narrow strips together, willy nilly. The only "rule" was to make sure one of the scraps/strips was white, and the other wasn't.

It may not look like a lot, but it really is.

And some of the pieces are pretty small. I will NEVER learn!
But they should be interesting when they're pressed out and cut into manageable pieces.

Here's the result:

UPDATE: I manage to go through the seemingly miles of chain-pieced micro-crumb blocks and press them all out. There were, I think, 221 little 2-patch blocks, all waiting to be trimmed.

Next, I spent some time matching up micro-blocks to create scrappy 4-patch blocks. Sewing them all took over an hour, and pressing them all took at least that long (probably longer). But the trimming! Gods, the trimming! Very time-consuming. All told, today's effort took me about 6 (?) hours, give or take. I ended up with 91 scrappy 4-patch mini-blocks, and 10 scrappy 6-patch blocks (just to get a little fancy).
