Docker Bursts Stun Crows | AFANA

The Fremantle Dockers bounced back from a surprise loss to the Melbourne Demons to overcome the Adelaide Crows in Perth. The ANZAC Day (similar to Memorial Day in the USA) night match placed both teams in the national spotlight with the Dockers finding their passion to overcome the high flying Crows. The Crows had beaten the talented Greater Western Sydney Giants the previous week in a hard slog at Adelaide Oval and needed to backup their win to prove they were a threat to the competition. However, after a roasting from the local media and their coach, Justin Longmuir, the Dockers were never going to let this one slip. The home team started hot and burned the Adelaide Crows with a first term burst of aggressive hard-running football, which set up the victory that followed. Played in fine autumn conditions, the pace was ferocious with both teams using handball to clear packs and long kicking to launch attacks.
