Predatory capitalist CEOs might want to meditate on this a bit.

Personally, I'd say a jury full of people whose friends and families have been murdered for profit are exactly the right kind of jury.

You know, a jury of our peers, just like it says in the Constitution. If you have to hunt for exceptional people, whose lives are unusual, they're not our "peers."

Healthcare Companies Screwed Over So Many People That It’s Hard To Find Luigi Mangione A Neutral Jury

Maybe they can find a couple of cryogenically frozen folks to thaw and make a fair jury.

Above the Law

@MissGayle

Its staggering, its completely exposing.

Healthcare companies are terrified.

Luigi can't be tried by Americans.

No jury can be formed that isnt filled with Americans that have had a member of their family killed by an insurance company.

Let that sink in.

Its hard, or impossible, to find a jury that isnt 12 people whose dad or sister or aunt Mary died because a CEO wanted more $$

TPTB other than healthcare executives might want to take a few notes, too: calls by public officials to have Mangione given the death sentence, in contrast to other killers, is a very quick way to prejudice a case beyond any hope of conviction in anything other than a kangaroo court, so of course that's exactly what they've done.

It's not like I want the bad guys to win here, but when their every action is so incredibly stupid, it gives me a headache.

@theogrin

The more the government shows itself lawless, and that relief only happens for the rich, the more the rest of the population says to themselves that going out with a bang beats slowly starving to death or rotting under a bridge.

@MissGayle

Love of money becomes a kind of sickness.

Left unchecked money addicts end up as the equivalent of drunk drivers, harming strangers because they can't fill the hole in their soul with money-- just as alcohol also cannot for an alcoholic.

Intervention is required, for the good of all.

And we do have rules against driving while drunk. Maybe we need rules for money addicts as well.

@MissGayle well, i guess the problem for them might be that they are afraid they won't find him guilty.

And to be perfectly honest: knowing that the prosecutors want him euthanized, i probably would do everything in my power to let him walk if i was on a jury.

Not because i believe killing people is right, but because i believe it is not. And while i can't really support his course of action, it seems like he spoke one of the two languages these bastards actually understand

@MissGayle last time I was on a jury I overheard the defendant's mom outside the court chewing out one of the poor kid's friends for setting him up. Had to go back into court and get myself excused...

@MissGayle " a jury full of people whose friends and families have been murdered for profit"

I mean, it's supposed to be a jury of "his peers." You can't possibly have one without the other.

Making sure you're not a bot!

@MissGayle

They’d have to use a jury of career military people who have had government healthcare since they enlisted at 18.

@MissGayle

it is going to be very difficult to find any americans who HAVE NOT been SCREWED OVER by insurance companies
