We are going to meet up with Family Bike Ride (https://www.familybikeride.org/waltham), who is riding from Cambridge to the Gore Place Sheepshearing Festival. We will meet the Family Bike Ride group at Lowell Field on Grove Street, and enjoy snacks and our company. We will then ride with their group along the river path, before they return to Cambridge and we return through Newton back to City Hall. If you are attending the Sheepshearing Festival, you can meet us at Lowell Field at 2:30.".

Join us for a virtual MAMAS Intro Session on Sunday, April 27th from 3-4:30. We’ll talk about mutual aid, our history, what working groups we have currently, and ways to get involved. For this event, we will only have the capacity to offer English discussion. We are always hoping that community members who can speak other languages that are prevalent in the community, particularly Spanish, Portuguese, and Haitian Creole will join so that we can speak with more neighbors! The sign up link is tinyurl.com/Welcome2MAMAS (also in the linktree in our bio). Thursday - recharge with Bread and Puppet Theater at the #SomervilleMA Armory
https://artsatthearmory.org/events/bread-puppet-theater-the-obligation-to-live/
Puppet show! Puppet show! Bread & Puppet Theater is excited to announce their spring tour, traveling from #Vermont down the Eastern Seaboard. As always, the show will include #puppets large and small, music, up-to-the-minute #politics, and spectacles not to be missed. After the show Bread & Puppet will serve its famous sourdough rye bread with aioli, and Bread & Puppet’s “Cheap Art” – books, posters, postcards, pamphlets and banners from the Bread & Puppet Press – will be for sale.
Of their latest show, The Obligation to Live, director Peter Schumann reminds us that, “The obligation to be alive and act against the actors of death is just one of humanity’s many obligations. We also have the obligation to courage and the obligation to plant garlic in the rubble of the empire. Possibilitarians know this and bring giants, dragons, horses, sheep, butterflies, and the exact dance of death required for this exact moment.”

Sat Noon - #StopCopCity: Imaginary Crimes Tour @ North American Indian Center of #Boston, 12 pm
"ATLANTA, GA — Supporters of people facing racketeering charges in Georgia for their alleged involvement in protesting #CopCity are launching a public education tour this week to draw attention to the ongoing criminal cases and increased repression against social movements. The "Stop Cop City: Imaginary Crimes" tour starts in Atlanta on April 4 and will include events in over 60 cities across the country through April and May. The tour will feature panel discussions, anti-repression resources, and merchandise. The tour also aims to provide direct support to defendants by raising morale and much-needed funds.
Dozens of people arrested at various times and locations around #Atlanta since 2021 were indicted in August 2023 under the #Georgia Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act. More than 17 months later, none of the 61 people charged with #RICO have been tried."
