Adobe Just Held a Bunch of Pantone Colors Hostage

Certain Pantone collections now require users to pay $15 a month to access them—with colors turned black unless you pay up.

Yeh, Pantone is (was?) important for colour replication, but the whole thing is a scam, and the Adobe changes are fucked up. They highlight this specifically as a reason people are looking for open source/open use alternatives
