Saying Matrix is bad because the Mossad created it is like saying SELinux and AES encryption is bad because the NSA created it or saying water is bad because Hitler drank water.

They have their flaws but saying something is bad because a bad actor used it is crazy imo

I'm not defending Matrix, it's E2EE implementation is flawed UX-wise and the community LOVES drama and bikeshedding, but holy crap

Same thing applies to this conduwuit drama and fork.

yeah, girlbossceo got bullied out of maintaining conduwuit because of this kind of shit. She didn't do anything wrong, no. But the people are applying this "guilt by association" argument by calling it bad just because she and that other guy maintains it.

Might be a misunderstanding on my part, but holy shit please stop saying something is bad just because a bad actor uses it. It's just harmful in general.
