Today started with the Vuur & Zijde show, performing their album Boezem. Beforehand, their music doesn't really seem to be my cup of coffee, but this band really showed they are more than worth it giving them another try, which I know I will do. With members of Laster and Terzij de Horde (!).

Yes. Bacht'n de Vuile Moane brings the lo-fi, minimal lompness, which I'm looking for in my black metal. This somewhat reminded me of the sounds of Kwade Droes, only kind of more minimal ánd synthy.

I have seen #Swans two times before and Kristof and Michael perform in the big church in my hometown #Nijmegen before.
What I loved about this specific show, were the clear elements of country music involved within their inhumanly loud sound.
Conversation between the two that could only be heared from the front of the stage:
Kristof: "Should we leave?"
Michael: "No. Kris. We should not leave. We should stay and try to remember WHAT THE F*** WE'RE DOIN' HERE."

The art and folk of Cinder Well. For sure, she has by far the most impressive venue-artposter (I will post the print later on). But this performace was gentle, touching, Both Godly and paganized at the same instance. This minimalist fingerpicking was kind of hallucinating. I really loved it.

Bombstrap came up to do a secret show at the skate hall. This encounter was what I needed. Some art makes you feel understood. And some people understand this art. Protect trans kids with your punk-ass and free Palestine for the sake of their and your own existence. Or else f*** off.

Closing it all down, Greet (formerly the drummer in anti-fascist black metal band Dawn Ray'd!) gifted a melancholical rite, celebrating myths and paganism. All I could think about, is how Roadburn is a Summer Isle in the middle of the most cruel world. An isle of respect, love and inclusion. An isle of darkness defining all colors of life, existence, art and everything beyond. Black is where all colors are combined.
I'm a lifelover.
