@jmrubillon @nkar It's a matter of will, and access. Those that will themselves into denial of facts to embrace only a white supremacist fiction, are also invoking the will to be stupid. Given the low rates of literacy in the US, I'd say that many are getting all their news and analysis from social media, especially TikTok, but not from Mastodon. It takes a lot of will to forge beyond the easiest sources of information, to go seek out alternatives. And read.
