🧊 freezr 🥶JPEG 2000 (+25)
I am still wrapping my head around #jpeg2000...
It looks like #Gimp 3 removed the exporting support for it...
I can still use #imagemagick to trigger the conversion from any source to jpeg2000 to PDF.
But fewer steps are better...
I do not have a clear idea of what it should look like; I guess it should be mimic what PS already does... 🤔
CmykStudent@freezr Hi! Do you happen to know what version of GIMP had the ability to export JPEG2000? To my knowledge, we've only ever had import - although it's on my TODO list to add (readd?) export support.
I do remember that a certain point I was able to export in that format... But it could be some external plugin that I installed once and lost track of it.
However, meanwhile jxl doesn't take off, it would be very beneficial the full support for jpeg2000.
@freezr Hi again! I'm working on a JPEG 2000 exporter built into GIMP (based off an initial version contributed by another user).
If you have time, what setting(s) would you want when exporting? The current version only has a quality slider (and I added a CMYK export option), but I feel like there are other meaningful settings.
