Despite this it was nearly lost to time due to not being published until well after Bach had passed. “Twas Within a Furlong” from The Mock Marriage, Z. 605” by English Baroque Organist and composer Henry Purcell🇬🇧. Mostly known for operas, this piece is from his 1690s theater piece “The Mock Marriage” which was written shortly before his passing due to what is theorized to have been recurrent tuberculosis age the of 36.. or 35 (??) idk

The second movement of “Piano Sonata No. 32 in C minor, Op. 111” is also known as “The Boogie Woogie” movement. While Beethoven isn’t credited as inventing ragtime, swing jazz or even Boogie Woogie style jazz, you can’t deny that the general pieces of those genre and music forms are there. I think a lot of it lies in the use of the triple meter

@Moss apparently that was a signature of sorts of Claude Bolling’s .. idk idk
