This is why Pierre Poilievre is freaking out - the CPC and his MAGA Republican hate-playbook is about to be smashed so badly he very well may lose his own seat.

EKOS and CBC have both projected 200+ seats previously, but this is the first time TIKO that Mainstreet has gone above 200. It’s significant because there are less undecideds, more people moving towards Carney and the Liberals.

PP is offensive and unfit, but #ThanksDonald for closing the deal.

@fsinn
I have been on his FB page and cheering all the way from BC!. Hoping that we see some additional candidates withdrawing to minimize vote splitting... we have some tight races here on Vancouver Island. Thanks for this Francisca!🇨🇦 👊

@fsinn

I try not to get too excited. But damn, you have made my night, thank you.

@intothewestaway We don’t get excited; we get determined. 👊🏻🇨🇦
@intothewestaway @fsinn yep. Folks need to turn out and make this happen

@Jam123 This election is everyday conversation like never before in my life. You hear it everywhere from the dog park to the grocery store.

Last week I heard from someone who has voted only Conservative their entire life, I said, I know you usually vote more…, and they cut me off “oh no, it has to be Carney, there’s no question.” The first time ever they’re not voting Conservative. That’s how motivated people are, and yes, we have to make it happen.

@intothewestaway

@fsinn @intothewestaway I normally vote NDP as my riding has been well represented by their MP for 20 years. I don't think Singh is a good candidate for PM. Carney seems to be the PM we need for this era in our history, so I'm heavily leaning liberal this election.

@Jam123 Agreed on Singh. Check the polls in your own riding; if the NDP stands a better chance than the Liberal candidate, then the Liberals should back the NDP candidate to ensure we don’t split the vote.

This is a handy website, I think there’s another similar site as well: https://smartvoting.ca/ridings/federal-2025/35020

@fsinn @intothewestaway I really wish our electoral system gave us a choice for local representation and who we want to be PM.

People say oh you are voting for your local representation, but in fact, you are also voting for their party leader. I like my local MP I really do but I can no longer vote for him and his party after Signh tore up the agreement with the Liberals.

@Jam123 I think Singh missed a huge opportunity to take a leadership role in the past few years, and he didn’t so I must conclude that he lacks the insight or ability or both. In any case, either’s disqualifying.

@intothewestaway

@fsinn @intothewestaway yea he did. It seems like he caved when conservative media called him mean names. All he had to do was tell PP that the election is in the fall bro.

@Jam123 … and spend the inbetween time building his own platform and profile, carefully pushing back at and away from Trudeau on policy without being an antagonizing jerk, and people would have listened. That window closed, and he was the one who closed it. #FacePlant

@intothewestaway

@fsinn @intothewestaway the guy actually had good progressive policy inacted and then he tried to bring down the government when the CPC was polling insanely high. I've joked on previous posts that the man wears flip flops. This is not the type of leader to tell Diaper Don to piss off.

@fsinn @intothewestaway yah I've read a similar article. This is why we need someone with strong financial knowledge to run the country at the moment. Sadly I'm not confident enough voters in Canada will come to the same conclusion. Folks here like to meme on the US but we have our own Maple Maga morons who'll vote against their own self interests

@fsinn

Too exciting 🍿. But, the election is still 2.5 weeks away and people may take the polls for granted. Everyone's gotta show up to make the poll projections = vote real.

@thegreenpagesBC #GOTV Especially women and everyone 50+. Women support Carney over Poilievre 2 to 1. It’s only young men who support PP over Carney. Our young men, targeted.
