Old IKEA sofabed with enlarging tears in its microfiber upholstery. This section is bolted to the main frame, disassembly would be hard. Still comfortable, still works as a backup-backup couch bed, and I'd rather hang on to it. We can cover it for aesthetic purposes, but any tips on easy ways to stop the tears from progressing? Is there a good fabric tape for this? #FabricRepair #HomeRepair #FurnitureRepair

You might want to utilize the cure for runs in ladies' hosiery: fingernail polish because of its solvent content. It'll fuse loose ends together. Not sure if it's strong enough to hold up to being sat on, though--that's a lot of stress on the threads.

@DianeLevesque thanks for this suggestion! I think the vertical threads have separated so much that this would not work (especially under tension). I should trek down to Gather Here and ask advice.
