How Many Rogue Planets Are in the Milky Way?

According to new simulations, many, even most, planets get ejected from their star early in their history

@badastro That was way cool, as usual. Is there a source for how many of those rogue planets get thrown up/down, away from the ecliptic (am I using that right?) vs just spun out at a different velocity? I didn’t see that but it tickles my fancy.
