[1/2] DAY ONE: The first track is Disco Medley off of The Last Concert. I want to say this is my first introduction as to what "disco" was.

Since then, it's grown to be one of my favorite genres. I love this track so much because it mixes 5 different songs together.

[2/2] Gloria Gaynor's I Will Survive, Lipps Inc.'s Funkytown, Donna Summer's Last Dance, Van McCoy & Soul City Symphony's The Hustle, & Donna Summer's On The Radio.

DAY TWO: Keeping with songs Selena covered (and in my opinion made better) is Fotos y Recuerdos. This is a cover / remake of a song called Back On The Chain Gang by The Prentenders. This was on Selena's last album she released, Amor Prohibido. #FotosYRecuerdos #SelenaYLosDinos #SelenaLaLeyenda #SelenaQuintanillaPerez #AmorProhibido

DAY THREE: Another song Selena y Los Dinos covered was La Bamba. I think the most notable rendition of the song was from Ritchie Valens. The reason why I like Selena y Los Dinos' version so much is that you can tell it's from their early days. Selena didn't speak Spanish in the earlier years and in the song, you can hear her say, "Oye tu, ven pa'qua" instead of "ven pa'ca". This song is from her self titled 1989 album, Selena. #LaBamba #SelenaYLosDinos #SelenaLaLeyenda #SelenaQuintanillaPerez

This ranchera style song was so fun to watch Selena perform live. She would bring up an audience member to the stage who was her โ€œboyfriendโ€ and demonstrate how to break up with them. At the end, she would always ask the audience to give a round of applause to her โ€œex-boyfriendโ€. #QueCreias #SelenaYLosDinos #SelenaLaLeyenda #SelenaQuintanillaPerez #EntreaMiMundo
๐”ป๐”ธ๐• ๐”ฝ๐•€๐•๐”ผ: Probably one of the oldest songs, ๐—ฆ๐—ผ๐˜† ๐—”๐—บ๐—ถ๐—ด๐—ฎ (and then later on ๐—ฆ๐—ผ๐˜† ๐—”๐—บ๐—ถ๐—ด๐—ฎ [๐—”.๐—•. ๐—ค๐˜‚๐—ถ๐—ป๐˜๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ถ๐—น๐—น๐—ฎ ๐—œ๐—œ๐—œ ๐—ฅ๐—ฒ๐—บ๐—ถ๐˜…]) is from when Selena was 14 years old. It was originally on an album called ๐˜ผ๐™ก๐™ฅ๐™๐™– but was later re-released on the album ๐™Ž๐™ž๐™š๐™ข๐™ฅ๐™ง๐™š ๐™Ž๐™š๐™ก๐™š๐™ฃ๐™– after she passed away. I really like the remixed version that came out in 2015 the best. It adds a cumbia instrumental along with her vocals being sped up to fit the new beat. #Selena #SelenaQuintanillaPerez #SelenaYLosDinos #SelenaLaLeyenda #SoyAmiga

This was named, by critics, as one of the best recordings in Selenaโ€™s career. In 2005, A.B. Quintanilla III y Los Kumbia Kings made a remix version of this song, which was featured as the lead single of ๐˜ฟ๐™ช๐™š๐™ฉ๐™ค๐™จ by Los Kumbia Kings. The remix was also performed on ๐™Ž๐™š๐™ก๐™š๐™ฃ๐™– ยก๐™‘๐™ž๐™ซ๐™š!, a benefit concert held for the 10th anniversary of Selenaโ€™s passing. #BailaEstaCumbia #SelenaYLosDinos #SelenaLaLeyenda #SelenaQuintanillaPerez #SelenaVIVE
[1/2] ๐”ป๐”ธ๐• ๐•Š๐”ผ๐•๐”ผโ„•: This is, by far, my favorite song. ๐—•๐—ถ๐—ฑ๐—ถ ๐—•๐—ถ๐—ฑ๐—ถ ๐—•๐—ผ๐—บ ๐—•๐—ผ๐—บ off the album ๐˜ผ๐™ข๐™ค๐™ง ๐™‹๐™ง๐™ค๐™๐™ž๐™—๐™ž๐™™๐™ค was a signature Selena song. This song started out as just a filler song at gigs for sound checks. Selena came up with words about a fish feeling so free in the sea. Originally it was sung in English but once Selena & Pete Astudillo actually wrote the words, they change it to Spanish. This song is a Mexican cumbia with a bit of rock en espaรฑol & reggae influences.
[2/2] I remember watching the video & wanting to be there on that beach with everyone, having a good time. In 2012, ๐™€๐™ฃ๐™–๐™ข๐™ค๐™ง๐™–๐™™๐™– ๐˜ฟ๐™š ๐™๐™ž, a remix album was released which included ๐—•๐—ถ๐—ฑ๐—ถ ๐—•๐—ถ๐—ฑ๐—ถ ๐—•๐—ผ๐—บ ๐—•๐—ผ๐—บ as a duet between Selena & Selena Gomez while still keeping a similar sound to the song. #BidiBidiBomBom #AmorProhibido #SelenaYLosDinos #SelenaLaLeyenda #SelenaQuintanillaPerez #PeteAstudillo #EnamoradaDeTi #SelenaGomez

This was originally supposed to be released on Nandoโ€™s album, but was having trouble with getting the tone right. Selena recorded the song and then later, after she was killed, it was released as the only single from her greatest hits collection, ๐™ˆ๐™ค๐™ข๐™š๐™ฃ๐™ฉ๐™ค๐™จ ๐™„๐™ฃ๐™ฉ๐™ž๐™ข๐™ค๐™จ.
