Art is subjective. Clapping is a way of showing your approval of the art.
I’d hope everyone on on airplane approves of it landing in one piece.
Mute Dog Brewing@evs on an airplane the people you're clapping for might actually be able to hear and appreciate it. Unless you're clapping for the kid who pushed the button to start the movie at the theater there's not a lot of point to it.
