First mission. Artist's Alley. Scouted the competition for upcoming cons & hunted for fellow creators who explore gods through the same posthuman, panfuturist lens. Found some gems.
Mitch Gerads, who draws like Alex Maleev, but sticks with the classic 9-panel format through the entire run on Mr. Miracle.

And there was Kirt Burdick. Not a typo. He self-published Death of Power, a brutal almost dialogue-free parody of Death of Superman from the mid 90s. Blood, guts, & XXX galore. We hit it off immediately. Showed his work to the others later & they bought his shit too.
Saturday, Austin Chapman & I hit the game dev consultation panel. Truly eye opening stuff about the possibility of bringing Pantheon into the gaming world.
That night? Eagle Rare (Tennessee whisky), Cuban cigars, & late night art. Finished off a decade old corked bottle courtesy of Darrell. Then stayed up sketching Gen Lowry as Thundra, a thank you for the t-shirt she had sent me earlier.
