WonderCon write-up incoming. Kicked off Friday by arriving early to pick up my badge... only to find out they botched my name. Not great for branding. Luckily, Brandon Carmedy had my back & got it fixed ASAP. Dude takes his job seriously.

First mission. Artist's Alley. Scouted the competition for upcoming cons & hunted for fellow creators who explore gods through the same posthuman, panfuturist lens. Found some gems.

Mitch Gerads, who draws like Alex Maleev, but sticks with the classic 9-panel format through the entire run on Mr. Miracle.

And there was Kirt Burdick. Not a typo. He self-published Death of Power, a brutal almost dialogue-free parody of Death of Superman from the mid 90s. Blood, guts, & XXX galore. We hit it off immediately. Showed his work to the others later & they bought his shit too.

Cosplayers brought their A-game of course, but the Ace Ventura impersonator was the highlight of the weekend. I tossed him a few O Sole Mio bars & he strutted over to roast us in flawless Jim Carrey impersonation. Said he didn't know any ASL. I counted with the universal sign of cunnilingus. He wasn't amused. Cue the legendary butt performance.

Some madman dressed up as 89 Joker cosplaying as Deadpool, & the fucker hit me with a joy buzzer. I asked him how many suckers did he get with that underhanded technique. He showed me the number of HA HA HA scribbled allover his purple sleeves. Could say they were in the dozens & dozens. Apparently writes two HAs for every sucker.

Saturday, Austin Chapman & I hit the game dev consultation panel. Truly eye opening stuff about the possibility of bringing Pantheon into the gaming world.

That night? Eagle Rare (Tennessee whisky), Cuban cigars, & late night art. Finished off a decade old corked bottle courtesy of Darrell. Then stayed up sketching Gen Lowry as Thundra, a thank you for the t-shirt she had sent me earlier.

Sunday, our panel crushed it. Brandon was much more confident this year & the crowd came ready. Sharp, inquisitive, & fired up, despite the brutal 10am timeslot. It was nearly packed.
They also showed my video on the projector. #PantheonTrailer
