There are so many people here users could make friends with yet so many who choose to alienate other users. Not great for the platform at all.
I used to get pilloried for similar failures, until I discovered the tip which I posted.
And most 'friends' here will understand, or prod me (if the bot has not already done so).
Also, most of the connections I have made here (Fedi) are 'acquaintances', rather than actual 'friends'.
