@europlus I'm using your incredible UTM configuration for GlobalTalk on Mac OS 7.1—thank you!

Mac OS boots perfectly well on an M2 Max 2023 MacBook Pro, but I can't get it to connect to my LAN for the life of me.

I've diligently followed the steps in the AIR Administrator’s Guide—Addendum, and I saw your post on this on Emaculation: https://www.emaculation.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=80472&hilit=bridged#p80472

QEMU config seems ok, but MacTCP Ping times out on every address. Host is using USB-C Ethernet. Any troubleshooting tips? Thank you!

68k Mac OS works in UTM now - E-Maculation

@willcroft I think it’s the en0 directive.

You need to find the name of the Ethernet interface you’re using.

At the CLI, ifconfig will show you the config of network interfaces - I use en0 as it’s the built-in Ethernet port on my machine.

Look for the port with the IP address of your USB-C adaptor, and try that in the Argument I created.

Let me know if you have any trouble - make sure after double-clicking and editing the argument you click away then Save, otherwise the change won’t stick.

@europlus arrrrgh! Obviously! I was tearing my hair out thinking it was an issue with the VLAN or unsupported equipment.

Thank you! Onwards with five days to go!

@europlus All working perfectly after that change. Now to optimise my own AppleShare server for maximum nostalgia!

Thank you again for an insanely great resource and happy #MARCHintosh!

@willcroft huzzah! Great to hear from another satisfied #GlobalTalk customer!

Happy #MARCHintosh!

@willcroft I’ll put some instructions in the ReadMe for v1.0.5 I’m hoping to release before month’s end (only minor updates).
@europlus Awesome. You're doing incredible work for the community. Happy to proofread or review any changes if helpful!
