Emily Jazmin Tatum Perez was a West Point graduate. While serving in Iraq, she was killed in action by an I.E.D., the first black female officer in U.S. military history to die in combat and the first female graduate of West Point to die in Iraq.

The video documenting why she chose to serve in the Army and in combat has been deleted by the Army under the Trump Administration.

Erasing her from the collective memory of America will not be tolerated. - Mel Tansill

@BrianJopek this is false. Her story and her bio are still on Army.mil.

This was a copy/paste of false information on Facebook. And you re-quoted it. Nice confirmation bias.

@realzardoz @BrianJopek

The post clearly references a VIDEO that was scrubbed, you f🤬cking lemming.
Y'all *always* project.

"Last month, Hegseth ordered the services to scrub articles, photos & videos that promote DEI within a week, which resulted in the removal of the wide variety of content.

The senators found it especially unacceptable that Arlington National Cemetery scrubbed information about Black, Hispanic and female troops from its "Notable Graves" website."

Lawmakers Demand Trump Administration Restore Removed Webpages Celebrating Troops | Military.com

@Incognitim @BrianJopek

Now if Brian had referenced that specific news story instead of crap copy pasta THAT would have been useful information…

Typical jackass response tho… I’m not a lemming - I could find zero to support Brian’s copy-pasta off of facebook.. in fact I could not even find THIS article.

@realzardoz @BrianJopek

Sounds like *you're* the one suffering from confirmation bias, then. Stories like this aren't hard to find- just takes a search.

Buuut instead- you blew through the post and shot off about it being fake news, because YOU probably saw someone on facebook call it that.

"The first female Army Reserve graduate of Ranger School and first female fighter pilot both had their stories deleted."

*At best* you're an ostrich, head buried deep in your ass.

DEI purge: Pentagon scrambles to remove then restore content

The Pentagon has faced questions from lawmakers, local leaders and citizens over the removal of military heroes and historic mentions from Defense Department websites and social media pages. Complaints have come in after the department purged online content that promoted women or minorities. In response, the department has scrambled to restore a handful of those posts as their removals have come to light. But due to the enormous size of the military and the wide range of commands, units and bases, there's been an array of interpretations of what to remove and how, as part of the Pentagon directive to delete online content that promotes diversity, equity and inclusion.
