I wanted to block the squares onto my usual foam blocking mats (playmats for kids) but it was an absolute pita to get them to the same size. Tried marking the squares with masking tape: didn't stick long enough. Tried drawing on it: washed away with the water. Wanted to use a metal mat from the hardware store: holes were not close enough together. Looked up local 2nd hand offers: non existent. Therefore, I bought the wooden thing even though I initially didn't want it...

I knew the two yarns from different manufacturers looked good together (there's a cardigan as proof) but I still love how well the shift from the purple to the color changing yarn looks in this sweater yoke. #crochet
