In case anyone is interested in my view on the #Greenland election result btw, I think most people voted on domestic issues: cost of living, healthcare, education, employment, elderly care and maybe most of all, fish. Though for sure the USA #geopolitics angle probably helped #TurnOutTheVote. 1/

This shouldn't be a surprise, most people everywhere do vote on domestic issues. IMHO far too many journalists went in with an external view, without understanding actual voters (part of the problem is too few Greenlandic journalists + public broadcaster KNR was overwhelmed) 2/
Also, it struck me that there were no polling data at all and I think maybe media have got lazy, relying on polling companies to tell them what people are thinking, instead of doing their own research? 3/
The great surprise on behalf of the Danish media is particularly embarrassing - would be nice to see some newspapers or other media having long-term Greenland desks with assignments to do real reporting (maybe, I dunno, employ some Greenland journalists?) Deadline | DRTV www.dr.dk/drtv/episode...
