@ASegar I bought a pair of crampons last year when you wrote about this, and I'm grateful. Phew!

@ASegar

I've got a lot of winter gear for running, and most of it is interchangeable, but one thing I would buy a replacement of is my noxgear light vest / and chest lamp.

Running in the winter often means dawn or dusk, or dark. this make me feel visible, and able to see. So much more comfortable than a headlamp.

I have a number of tights, tops, jackets, hats, mittens and gloves which I carefully access and pick according to the temp range, having proper gear, makes winter running fun.

@m750 Good info. I restrict my running to daylight hours; Vermont dirt roads can be treacherous in the dark!
@ASegar This is my first year regularly running after dark, I've done it spottily in the past, but a few of us older guys have a standing run t-th nights where we regularly run.
