There is a lot of back and forth between all stakeholders during R&D to streamline every minute detail of the design. The idea that LLMs can one-shot this is the most ridiculous thing I've heard (this year) 🤣
Klaus Frank@mrv Well LLM could one-shot the first prototype. But you'd also get a similar quality by just dumping your thoughts and a sketch into a mail and attaching some "just do it and we'll talk afterwards"-money...
@agowa338 the LLM could maybe come up with a rendering of something resembling a prototype. bare the fact that is does not even know how many fingers my hand has for using the product... but this is where the actual work on proper product design starts.
that email approach actually works when you pick a capable OEM but they will also just sit down a team of engineers to solve the problem
@mrv True, but lets be honest for a second. Do we really assume that there is more behind that statement than him trying to get free money? I'm not even sure if he himself things there will even be a fully usable version (not even one in the way he promises but just one at all) released ever?
I think this is just the typical buzzword bingo game to get investor, public tender, research grant, and/or government grand money.
@mrv The other thing I can imagine is him calling a simple decision tree or algorithm "AI" but then that's almost certainly also for getting free money, so it'd be kinda the same...
