In some career prep class during high school, the teacher asked, rhetorically, "How much money do you want to make?"

Without even thinking, I mumbled "All of it". This caused great mirth with my friend (who went on to become some sort of high earner). But now that I see someone actually try to pull it off, I'm reminded of the event.

At the time it was absurd. If one person has all the money, then money would be pretty useless -- everyone else would figure out something else. 1/

I mean, you can explore the idea yourself. The thing is though, that now there might actually be a reason. If you make money pointless, through scarcity or inflation or theft or whatever, then you can offer something else (before society in general invents their own system). Do I need to say what that something else would be?

Why does every damn thing have to be video games. Not everybody wants to live in a fucking video game.
