#Drilling holes and test fitting the #enclosure for my 10 step #sequencer
On the front slope, there are ten #potentiometer, LEDs, and toggle switches. The LED fixtures are still missing.
On the top, unsloped part will be the step selector, inputs and outputs.
At the back side will be the power connector and the power switch.

I think I have decided on the layout for the top part, with the inputs and outputs, power switch, and step selector. I still have to wait for the proper power switch to arrive, but this should work out.

All holes have been drilled and components inserted, except the LEDs - have to decide on the color first.
After that I'll have to wire it all up.
And then, when the PCB arrives, solder that up and plug everything together.
Still, it's a nice feeling to hold it in my hands like that and fiddling with the controls.

First wires soldered. For future projects, I'll design a common power bus. But I'll stick with this now.
All potentiometers and switches for the ten steps have been wired.

And it's done. All wires that had to be soldered are soldered. What a mess. In German we have a word for that: "Kabelsalat" (cable salad).
My black wires are empty now.
The power switch has screw posts, so I have to crimp some shoes on the cables. Next is tying them together and crimping the connectors on the other ends of all the wires -.-

Next step finished: #soldering the #pcb that arrived this week.
I had to drill two holes that I forgot to add to the boards. But there was only the ground plane at that position.
Again, they were manufactured by @aislerhq

All the wires have been crimped! This was very tedious and repetitive. But after the first few done, it went relatively smoothly.
I only had to make two wires longer.
Connector list:
- ten six-pin JST
- three two-pin JST
- one four-pin JST
- one ten-pin DuPont
It looks very cramped, but it works!
The steps are ordered columns first, like this:
1 3 5 7 9
2 4 6 8 10
Else, I would have needed to make more wires longer.

Here is a very short demo of it running: https://makertube.net/w/vhcj3qHZpamenkKDTDe1xu
It will be a lot nicer when I add VCA and envelope generator. This is really just a basic function test.

a longer demo of the #sequencer. I play around with some controls and have replaced the mixer and LFO with the available #StackSynth modules, mixing sawtooth and triangle waveforms of the perfboard VCO (will be replaced by one of the next StackSynth modules).
