First summer #powerbill since upgrading my #solarpower from 1.5 to 10kW.

I got a gov discount we all get, + a one-off discount offered when whiny old coots complain about long term pricing. Without them I'd have paid $38 for 93 days, covering all my power needs, including ~3000km of #EV driving. I already had solar hot water.
Despite less than ideal panel location, a not so sunny summer, increased AC, EV charging, & no longer obsessively switching everything off, I imported 35% less, & exported 10x more kW to the grid than over summer 24. I'm saving heaps, living more comfortably, reducing grid coal, & slashing my carbon footprint. Payback should be ~4 years.
I highly recommend #solar if you can afford the upfront $$ & are allowed to install. 6kW in Australia costs ~$AU5-6000. Sometimes deals are available.
