#TalkCrawler seems to freeze QEMU or the OS each time it gets to MrTechGadget zone. It’s been stuck here for almost an hour, but only took 5-10 minutes to get there. I can’t click anywhere, it’s the beachball, but it doesn’t rotate.

On the QEMU machine which can’t see that zone, it completes the scan then seems to freeze (waiting for next scan to start in a few minutes).

This is with TC1.2.

@kalleboo Finished on the second machine in about 15 minutes (58 zones, MrTechGadget not visible) and has not frozen!

@europlus I think it’s just all down to classic MacOS AppleTalk jank, I can’t see anything I can do about it, all I do is query the OS for what’s on the network…

edit: yesterday it was freezing for like 10 minutes on Airaga but eventually would continue

@europlus That is so bizarre!! Nowhere in my code do I beep (if I were to make an error noise I always use the HyperCard Boing instead of a beep)

Is this in QEMU?

@kalleboo QEMU wrapped in UTM. It seems to be as maybe a major script component finishes, maybe?

@europlus @kalleboo I can confirm my machine started beeping in the same way as well. It even started beeping sometime over night as it was running. It woke me up but luckily not the rest of the family ☺️ Running version 1.2 on a Power Mac 7600 with HC 2.4.1 system 8.6 eng language but swedish localization.

@kalleboo @europlus The *one* time I left my 6200 unattended for ~10 minutes while scanning, it was beeping like crazy when I came back. But only that once, never before and never since, so not really a big issue here. System 7.6 and HyperCard 2.3.
