Why am I still wearing a mask in 2025? For exactly the same reasons I wore it in 2021. Because nothing has changed.

Except maybe the way people look at me. But funny looks don’t transmit viruses. Aerosolized particles do.

Exactly this. I don't care how people look at me. Most people don't even notice me anyway.

@mcmullin @ducky "Best" part is it's now "almost" normalised in Western countries to be able to wear one.

Minus, the localities so incensed they have to go out of their way to ban it.

@ShrikeTron @ducky
I can’t speak for Western countries. But in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, a relatively accepting place, people don’t attack or yell at me for wearing a mask; they’ve seen it before, they know what it is. But they don’t think it’s normal—they think it’s weird.
@mcmullin @ducky Weird is on the path to normalised. 😎
@mcmullin @ducky I've been lucky. In the years since I became one of the few remaining mask wearers inside public areas, I have seen a single sneer. And that person, I'm pretty sure, will die unloved. So I win! Yay!

@mcmullin @ducky I'm still wearing an N-95 mask whenever I'm in a building that isn't my own house. Haven't gotten any type of illness whatsoever since I started, with the exception of the time I got sick from my spouse.
