Even a German tourist was arrested in San Diego, it is forbidden to speak any language other than English in official bodies, all foreigners are enemies or suspects. Will Los Angeles 2028 be an Olympics without tourists? Only with countries from the Trump/Musk Axis (Russia, Argentina, Italy)? Only white athletes from the USA? I can't imagine what it will be like.

Havyhh2@sjvn ..it is absolutely unsafe...I'm an American living overseas, normally visit US annually....not this year....air system was functional if struggling until the idiots harpooned all air safety infrastructure....lunatic Nazis are running (into the ground, as it were) the health system, law enforcement, immigration, etc...measles, bird flu, flu, etc rampaging thru the populace. Forget it if you are LGBTQ. Honestly...you'd really want to risk health & well being going to US now.

@vik @sjvn @lightweight I think that if Putin summon up an army that can seriously go up against the combined military of Germany, France, the UK plus the Nordics, Spain & Italy they should be asking why they can't easily roll over Ukraine. It would have to involve China, and then the whole world is at war. China relies on being the worlds money lender & supplier so things have got to have gone really bad for that to happen. Come, you'll like it here and it's pretty safe :)

They've not rolled over Ukraine because they're not on a war footing - . If Europe insists on "peacekeepers" then it'll escalate to a war economy and Russia is ready. The US is backing out to line up a Russia/China split while RU is distracted. And no, Europe does not have a war economy or plans for one, weakened as they are by RU sanctions. But they are daft enough to try, which suits US nicely. It's a shitfest, and the gumbo is deep. PS See you on the weekend.
