The Non Cooperation Brick is a free pattern by Hannah Roderick, available from Ravelry. Knit in fingering weight yarn to the dimensions of a real world brick, this is for throwing at stuff when the current timeline becomes too much. #Knitting https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/non-cooperation-brick
Non Cooperation Brick pattern by Hannah Roderick

Do you find yourself increasingly frustrated with the state of the world by have no outlet for your nihilistic tendencies without breaking something in your home? Are you tired after a long day of protesting for the rights of underserved people and need something mildly mindless to work on while you stream either the latest season of Severance for the first time or the third season of Gilmore Girls for the fifth time? Do you not want to cooperate or be complacent with the fact that we are watching history in the making, but not in a fun and freedom-y way? Well do I have the project for you!

I need a bunch of those !
@WyrdKnitting I also saw the other day an experiment on a pedestrian cross: a foam brick is available for when you cross the road and you leave it when you're on the other side. The stats changed drastically: drivers would stop more with the fake brick than before.
I am tempted to make one for walking in Brussels!
@WyrdKnitting Okay, how about a pattern for a non cooperation Molotov cocktail?
@earsmeardius @WyrdKnitting My first thought was that many of the bottle cozy patterns could be modified to add the fuse... but someone else has already done it: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/molotov-cocktail
(it's not a free pattern, though).
Molotov Cocktail pattern by Maker Magpie

This explosive Molotov Cocktail is knit in separate pieces and then sewn together. The bottle is knit in the round as one piece and stuffed as you go. The rag is a small flat square, and the flames are knit individually in garter stitch, using wrap & turn short rows asymmetrically on either end to give them a fiery look.

@WyrdKnitting @TheBreadmonkey New meaning to 'Don't obey in advance.'
@WyrdKnitting Just sent this to a knitting friend!! I may figure out how to quilt a fit, so I can safely throw a fit daily!! 😂😂
@WyrdKnitting Excellent for watching sports too. Went to a pubstaraunt during playoffs that had foam bricks marked "Bad Ref" at each table for chucking at TV.
@WyrdKnitting @julie3dharris Actually, these have some real life, nonviolent use in the world of #bookbinding.
@WyrdKnitting I remember back in the day someone invented a foam brick that when you threw it at a TV it would switch the TV off..

@WyrdKnitting haha!
A while ago I crocheted a brick for my coworker to throw at the team when she was annoyed!

All scrap yarn, and some foam inside. Instant success!

@WyrdKnitting also keep your real bricks cozy
