Ok 1 person approves let's go.
What's your favorite inner #solarsystem #moon?
There are a LOT of moons out past the #asteroidbelt, so I'm going to break it down and only include a small selection.
In the thread I'll include some fun facts about the moons in case you need some help deciding!
Ganymede is the largest moon in the entire solar system. It's even bigger than Mercury.
Callisto, Jupiter's second largest moon has the most cratered surface of any object in the solar system (that's awesome that we even know that?).
Io is the most volcanically active thing in the solar system. The Jovian system is really big on getting 1st place in as much shit as possible.
Europa has a big salty ocean bigger than all the oceans on Earth because once again, the Jovian system has to win everything but hey we're the only ones with mangoes.
What about #saturn? That one's got some famous #moons too!
Here's 4 to pick from. I'll include some fun facts in a reply.
Titan is Saturn's largest moon, and is the only moon with a thick atmosphere, and the only other place in the solar system with lotsa surface liquid flowing around.
Rhea is the second largest of Saturn's moons and has its own rings.
Enceladus has oceans under the surface and shoots them out in big honking geysers so we can actually go get samples of that water in a flyby mission. It's also the whitest thing in the solar system.
Phoebe is likely a captured object and has a retrograde orbit (it goes backwards). It's also just a weird moon in general.
