Last week @[email protected] the 3D printer - turned - CNC mill took a go at the slightly too tall pin headers of an e-paper breakout board. Worked surprisingly well to shave off 1.5mm of unnecessary height.

Still wouldn't recommend to blindly mill into some plastic structures of assembled PCBs.
We did a test cut first.
