1) the greens (certainly here in Berlin) ran an arrogant hagiographic campaign with posters of Habeck and the single word 'Foresight' - which seemed pretty off putting to me (and not at all in the co-op style of the greens)
2) He wasn't always right - he often was - but a bit of humility might have differentiated him from the rest.
Beluga@steely_glint @RAlpenstern @Sagittarius_Galaxie Hm, I guess you mean posters with the word "Zuversicht"? The meaning is along the lines of "confidence that things will turn out well". Not sure what is off-putting about a message of hope.
Apart from this: please name a single high-ranking politician who showed more humility than Habeck. Just one please.
@steely_glint @RAlpenstern @Sagittarius_Galaxie One more thing: even in your "foresight" translation there is a lot of truth. The Greens were and are the only party who actually have political foresight on offer. The main rivals AfD, CDU/CSU, SPD and FDP all falsely promise a return to the good ole days. Foresight is sadly (!) a USP of the Greens.
It's human nature, when things get difficult you want to go back to where things were supposedly better. But that's no option for politics under any circumstances. We must do everything, worldwide, to stop or prosecute politicians who work against the next generations. #climatechange #war #future #Deutschland #politik
